About Us

IEEE Kenya

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards and professional and educational activities. We publish technical journals, sponsor conferences, develop technology standards and support the professional interests of more than 400,000 members. IEEE creates an environment where members collaborate on world changing technologies- from computing and sustainable energy systems, to aerospace, communications, robotics and healthcare – to engineer a better tomorrow.

IEEE Kenya Section, as authorized by the IEEE Board of Directors and IEEE MGA Board, is a forum that brings together and coordinates technical and networking activities for IEEE members that reside within Kenya. The section conducts activities to assist the local IEEE members to enhance their professional careers and communities.

We are delighted to announce that we have joined forces with The Youth Energy Summit (YES!) to empower Africa’s youth to become the next generation of leader and catalysts for the energy transition in Africa.
Join us at YES! on 20-23 June for a large-scale YES! expo, focusing on graduates, educators, early career professionals and MSMEs to better enable human capital development across Africa’s burgeoning energy sector.
Participants at YES! will be provided a blended programme addressing leadership skills, business development and planning, on-boarding graduates and narrowing the gap between education and employment. Additionally, participants will be able to attend in-depth workshops on project and green capital finance, as well as future technologies and innovation
